You've covered the content.
The marks haven't followed.

Prelims are weeks away. You've sat through the lectures, taken the notes, marked the readings. You can talk about externalities, the Keynesian transmission mechanism, market failure — and you understand them. So why isn't the grade moving?

You write an essay. The structure feels okay while you're writing it. The mark comes back at 17 or 18. The feedback says lacks economic rigour or evaluation is shallow, and you're not entirely sure what either comment means in practice. You sit a CSQ. You read the case, attempt every part, run out of time on the last sub-question, and lose marks in places you didn't even realise were marks.

The content gap closed months ago. What's left is the writing gap — the distance between knowing something and writing it in the precise sequence an examiner is paid to award marks for. That distance is what separates a B from an A. And almost nobody teaches you how to close it.

The fix isn't more notes. It's a high-rep block of structured writing with immediate correction — the kind of practice the rest of your school calendar doesn't make room for.

A-Level Economics isn't a content exam.
It's a writing-under-pressure exam.

The students who score distinctions aren't necessarily the ones who know the most. They're the ones who can apply a concept correctly, structure an argument in the order that earns marks, layer evaluation at Level 3, and do all three at once — under timed conditions, paper after paper.

That's a performance skill. Performance skills are built one way: high-volume practice, immediate dissection, repeat. The Bootcamps compress 40 questions of that practice into two consecutive days with the person who wrote the model answers — so the gap between attempt and correction is hours, not weeks.

By the end of these two days, you will have dissected more A-Level Economics questions, with the TYS author, than most JC2 students attempt across an entire year.

ETG runs two Bootcamps a year.

Two full days.
Forty questions. One system.

The Level 2 Bootcamps run as two single-day intensives — the CSQ Bootcamp on Wednesday 9 September, and the Essay Bootcamp on Thursday 10 September. Both days are taught entirely by Mr Toh.

Each day works as a pre-loaded practice cycle: a portion of the questions is mailed out in advance for you to attempt at home, and the remainder is worked through live in the bootcamp itself — dissected line by line, with Mr Toh walking through what an examiner is looking for, where marks are won, and where they're consistently lost.

Take one day. Take both. Register for either onsite at Coronation Plaza or live via Zoom. Every session is recorded and accessible until your final A-Level Economics paper.

"Most students who plateau at B-grade Economics don't have a knowledge problem. They have a writing-structure problem — they can't translate what they understand into what an examiner will credit. The Bootcamp is built to fix that, fast."

— Mr Eugene Toh, Founder, ETG Economics
CSQ Day

Level 2 CSQ Bootcamp

9 Sep 2026 · Wed · From 9am · Mr Toh

16 case study questions dissected in one day. 8 CSQs assigned as pre-bootcamp homework so the live session is spent on correction, not first attempts.

Essay Day

Level 2 Essay Bootcamp

10 Sep 2026 · Thu · From 9am · Mr Toh

24 A-Level essays covered in one day. 12 essays assigned as pre-bootcamp homework — the live session focuses on structure, evaluation depth, and examiner-facing precision.

Both Days · Save $218

CSQ + Essay together = 40 questions in 48 hours.

Most students register for both — the formats reinforce each other, and the volume of practice across two consecutive days is what shifts the writing gear. The combo is $218 less than registering for each day separately.

The pre-loaded practice cycle.

No-one improves by sitting through a four-hour walkthrough of answers they've never attempted. The Bootcamps are built around a cycle that puts you in the chair first — then in the classroom.

01

Materials mailed in advance

Your printed Bootcamp Booklet — questions and full worked answers — is mailed to your address as soon as you register. Most students receive it 2–4 weeks ahead.

02

Attempt the homework set

8 CSQs are assigned before the CSQ day. 12 essays are assigned before the Essay day. You attempt these at home — under timed conditions if you can — so that the live session corrects real attempts, not blank pages.

03

Live dissection with Mr Toh

Onsite at Coronation Plaza or live via Zoom. Mr Toh walks through every question — decoding the command word, showing the structure marks are awarded for, building evaluation that scores at Level 3. Every session is recorded and yours until A Levels.

Mr Eugene Toh.

Author, H1 & H2 TYS (SAP) B.A. Economics, NUS M.Sc. Applied Economics, SMU 19 cohorts · since 2007 50 Model Essays (Shing Lee)

The essay and CSQ structures taught across both Bootcamp days are grounded in the same thinking that goes into the H1 and H2 TYS answer keys — built from 19 years of working backwards from what examiners actually reward.

Mr Toh teaches both Bootcamp days in full. No rotating tutors, no team-taught segments. The person who wrote the model answers is the person dissecting your essays.

"Teaching A-Level Economics isn't about transferring information. By September, students already have the information. It's about transferring the structure of a model answer — the precise sequence in which examiners are paid to award marks." — Mr Eugene Toh

Common questions, direct answers.

Both formats teach the same skill — structured A-Level essay and CSQ writing — at different intensities. L1 covers 10 essays and 8 CSQs across two days (now bundled inside the June Holiday Intensive). L2 is the September edition — 24 essays and 16 CSQs across two days, with no question repeated from L1.

If you've already done L1 in June, L2 in September is the natural continuation. If you're new to ETG and the September dates work, L2 stands on its own — no L1 prerequisite assumed.

JC2 students preparing for Prelims and A Levels. The September timing is deliberate — it falls in the window where content coverage is largely complete and the writing gear becomes the bottleneck. The pace of the Bootcamps assumes familiarity with both Micro and Macro topics; this isn't an entry point for students still building first-time content understanding.

For JC1 students, the equivalent product is the Microeconomics Crashcourse inside the June Holiday Intensive.

For the CSQ day: 8 of the 16 CSQs are assigned ahead. For the Essay day: 12 of the 24 essays are assigned ahead. You're expected to attempt these in your own time — ideally under timed conditions — so the live session is spent on dissection and correction, not on blank-page attempts.

Worked answers for every question (homework and live) are in the Bootcamp Booklet you'll receive in the post. Nothing is hidden until the day.

Yes. Every session is fully recorded. Students who register receive access to the complete recordings — whether they attended live or not — and that access is retained until the end of their final A-Level Economics paper.

The ETG Prediction System has forecast 5 out of 6 A-Level essay themes accurately nearly every year for 19 years. It's built on systematic pattern analysis — 20+ years of past papers, every top-JC prelim reviewed within a week, and SEAB phrasing trends tracked across cycles. We frame it as pattern recognition, not prophecy: no exam outcome is ever guaranteed.

The L2 Bootcamps are scheduled deliberately ahead of A Levels so that the questions you've dissected with Mr Toh and the questions you sit have meaningful structural overlap.

The 74% A-rate reflects the whole registered ETG cohort for the Class of 2025 — not a curated subset. It's worth being honest about two limitations. Response bias: not every student submits their results back, and students who performed well are more likely to report in. Selection bias: students who actively seek specialist tuition tend to start out more motivated than the average JC population.

We think transparency on this is more useful than quoting a number without context. The long-term distinction rate across 19 cohorts is 65%.

Two days won't replace consistent term-time practice, and we won't pretend otherwise. What two days will do is give you the structural frameworks and examiner-facing perspective that most students spend months trying to piece together on their own — if they figure it out at all.

The first run of our CSQ Bootcamp delivered an average +10 mark improvement across the cohort. That's a meaningful shift in one day. How much you internalise and apply afterwards determines how far the improvement carries into Prelims and A Levels.

Our admin team confirms your slot within one working day and provides payment details (PayNow or credit card). Your printed Bootcamp Booklet — containing every question and full worked answer — is mailed to your address. For early registrants this typically arrives 3–4 weeks ahead; for late registrants we ship within 2 working days of payment. Recording access is activated after payment confirmation.
